Doing grunge all wrong

I think that the point of grunge is to not think about what you are putting together, and instead just toss it on. Well if this is the case I have indeed done grunge all wrong because I thought of each item that should be present for the grunge girl I wanted to be today. Girly cream dress, boyfriends plaid button up, gray socks sifted out of my sock box (I was sitting on the floor by my closet digging in the box and Michael came in and asked "what are you doing?" to which I replied, "looking for grungy socks."), some boots, carefully layered "collected" bracelets, and my everyday necklaces.  To top it all off I even listened to a girl rock playlist on my way to school which included lots of Hole, Liz Phair, and Veruca Salt.

I HATE POODLES!!!!

Can someone explain to me how and why I have been into a flagship H&M every other day in order to stalk the arrival of this $35 poodle blazer to which they told me "We haven't gotten it yet but I'm sure we will so keep checking back" is now listed on eBay as "sold out in stores" and being sold for $89 plus $23 shipping and handling!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!! Angry run on sentence complete.

shoesessed

I am sorry for my recent shoe obsession. These 80%20 shoes from their fall collection are killing me. I am most partial to black boots and the same would go here but, I really enjoy the contrast of the royal blue cuff on the brown pair. I like all three so much I could not choose. Good thing I won't have to since I can't afford any!

On another shoe note this Forever 21 take on the famed Miu Miu collection is pretty good. I wish they had been a bit more clever than polka dots but I will take it and search them out in the stock room.

umm hi I'm still here

So I kind of just changed the name of my blog.. which maybe was a weird move, I'm not sure. Something came to me today while working on MY logo in portfolio I. If your branding yourself and the only fonts you feel suite your personality and style are named Unicorn and Rabbit Ears, this probably means something.

I was walking across the Merchandise Mart to the food court after class and these three words just came into my mind "rock" "bunny" hippie". Not ingenious or anything, but somehow i felt it describes the way i inharently dress myself. I like things with a bit of edge, I like to channel nature and my roots (sort of... I mean my mom drove a Volkswagen van for a while when I was growing up), but when it comes down to it, I can't resist anything cutesy and animal motifs are my weakness. So here I am, same blog, new name. New banner may follow. Maybe something more original less inspiration boardy.

chic sheep shoes

Michael said "chic sheep" one day, and I considered changing my blog to Chic Sheep. I do feel like I need something catchier.... Well anyway I looked up "chic sheep" and I got a lot of trend articles about fashionable wool and such. Walking past Burberry yesterday my eyes were caught by these shearling lined booties on the mannequins' feeties. Mmmm but if that stiletto wasn't enough of a turn off than the $1300 price tag surely would be.
River Island, which is a British high street store that based on their price rage is hard to distinguish whether is most comparable to Forever 21, H&M, or Zara, has this lovely pair with a much more attractive heel (in my opinion.) These are 75 euro, about $100.

I clicked around thier site and found some other things I REALLY wouldn't mind wearing.

Indoor pictures at my place are never so great plus I keep moving just as the picture is being taken. Blah.
Tag Micheal's awesome electro instruments.

Shoe Love from two mes

I am having a minor shoe love attack from two different sides. There is a  me who is all about girly, shiny, cutesy, pretty things. And then there is another me who is into everything campy, natural, and rough. Actually there are quite a few different mes between there as well.

Kate Spade Charm Heels - $325

Free People  Shearling Tie Ankle Boot- $468

Both- Entirely unattainable.

And on the North Pole I'll ice you son.

I was just feeling like posting some Robyn videos because I just can't get enough of her and I think you should feel the same.  I can't get on the "Lady Gaga is the best thing since sliced bread" train because this right here is GREAT pop music and Lady Gaga's music frankly, makes me want to throw up. Robyn has been doing her thing since the 90's creating music that makes you want to dance your ass off and laugh the whole way along. Pop music is my weakness in life. If music can make me smile and bop down the block it has done its job. Robyn makes me straight up want to dance down the street when I listen to her sounds in my headphones. Alas self control keeps the dancing inside my head. Just a couple weeks ago I had the great fortune of seeing her life in Michigan with my sister in an intimate venue at which I was able to freely dance dance dance to her beat beat beat. I have seen all of my absolute favorites live, The Cardigans twice, Sondre Lerche 4 times (yes I have an affinity for Scandinavian musicians), Mighty Might Bosstones once, but this was very much so the most fun I have ever had at a show. Anyways... I love Robyn and so should you.
