my socks don't match

Lately I've been so stressed out with school that I haven't had the ability to dress myself. Its all throw on my leggings, a long top, and a sweater and go. Which this is but I wore glittery heels...

tunic H&M, leggings F21, socks F21, sweater vintage, shoes ?, headband by me, necklace vintage.

Snowy days and long skirts

Big snow today. I had fun stomping around in it to and from class and such. Today I wore this plaid longgg skirt. I bought it at a vintage shop, Detroit Threads in Hamtramck, Michigan. I thought the skirt would be sort of romantic in this weather, but really it was a bit of a hassle. I wasn't feeling to creative and this skirt is a bit to bold for much so I just threw it on with a black tee and my trusty black boots. I've tried a million "snow" boots but the moisture always got through, never with these babes. This will be the third Chicago winter they have gotten me through.

Kawaii means cute

I'm not sure why even as I hover close to 21 years of age I have an unexplainable love for clothing with ears. Whatever it is I can't get rid of it. I assume as you get to be my age in the states wearing ears on your head that don't belong on a human is NOT okay... but I'm not sure I care. Japanese kawaii street fashion is one of my favorite things. I've also realized designers must look to these creative girls for inspiration. Pom poms were all over Fruits Magazine and next thing you know Diane Von Furstenburg's got a big pom hat.
AsiaJam.com is currently stocking a Korean brand, Sechuna. I can tell you little about the brand except what Asia Jam has to say because Sechuna's website is in Korean.
"South Korean brand, Sechuna, is all about super kawaii cuteness! Popular among teens in Korea, Sechuna's trademark styles include schoolgirl themes, animal ear hoodies, bows, and musical notes. We are now assured that those days of playing dress-up don't have to end. We hereby pledge to never grow up!"
Luckily  the Sechuna site does list its categories in English so I took a look at some adorable and just  plain great pieces. Some with ears, some without.

4:30 am is a terrible time of day

I've been pretty absent because life has been quite rough the past week or so. All week I was being trained in our jewelry/accessories department at work which meant being there at 6am everyday that I worked. I was waking up at 4:30 AM four days out of the week, including this lovely Saturday morning. With school also being a major draining factor. I really did not do to good a job keeping up with school during this work schedule. Tuesday I had a five page draft of an essay due... I still haven't written it.

All day at work today I was just thinking about the yummy Pillsbury cinnamon buns my boy and I were planing on having when I got home. (They were so good!)

Yesterday after work I had a sudden urge to go into H&M. I gave into this urge even though just a week ago I promiced myself no shopping for the next two months. EVERYTHING that I had wanted there a few months back but could not afford was on sale. I tried on a ton but ended up with a dress for $10, 2 Sonia Rykiel for h&m bras for $5 each, 3 pair Sonia Rykiel for h&m underwear for $1 each, and a pair of white tights with big read heart prints ( I played with these last night but came up with NOTHING that looked any good. Just to see how the dress looked on I paired it here simply with these awesome vintage heels I got a couple weeks ago at one of my favorite Chicago shops, Night and Day Vintage.
